Our commitment
ZML is committed to maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare throughout every stage of the livestock supply chain. In practice that means responsible livestock management, professional handling practices, and continuous improvement in accordance with Australian export requirements — reviewed consignment by consignment rather than signed off once.
Zero tolerance policy
ZML Prime Stocks Pty Ltd has a zero tolerance policy towards animal cruelty, neglect or unnecessary suffering. We expect all employees, contractors, transport providers, exporters, importers and business partners to handle livestock professionally and humanely at all times.
Our animal welfare principles
These are the eight things we hold ourselves to on every line of stock we handle.
Where welfare is decided
Welfare isn't a single checkpoint. It is a series of decisions, each one made before the animal moves again — and each one is somebody's named responsibility.

Working with our partners
ZML works closely with producers, transport operators, accredited veterinarians, exporters, importers, feedlots and processing facilities to promote high standards of animal welfare. We seek long-term partnerships with organisations that share our commitment to responsible livestock management — and we would rather turn down a consignment than hand an animal to someone who doesn't.

Our promise
Animal welfare is fundamental to the reputation of ZML Prime Stocks Pty Ltd. We are committed to operating with integrity, professionalism and respect for every animal entrusted to our care.
Our goal is to give customers around the world confidence that Australian livestock supplied by ZML are managed responsibly from farm to destination.
